Caza Relámpagos (Lightning Hunter)
He dedicado los últimos 9 años a cazar tormentas eléctricas en una de las ciudades más pobladas del mundo, la Ciudad de México.
El reto es capturar relámpagos lo más cerca posible y en lugares icónicos de la ciudad.
Para lograrlo, debo anticiparme y moverme rápido para llegar a donde quiero lo antes posible. Lo principal es observar las nubes, ver hacia donde se dirigen, sentir el viento frío, la lluvia e irme adentrando en la tormenta para cuando llegue a su mayor intensidad yo ya esté dentro...
Me pongo a merced de la naturaleza consciente del peligro de enfrentar el poder del rayo y es justo eso lo que lo hace tan excitante.
Al ir aprendiendo más y más sobre los relámpagos, sentí que era momento de hacer un autoretrato debajo de una tormenta con Anvil Crawlers...
I´ve spent the last 9 years chasing thunder storms in one of the most populated cities of the world, Mexico City.
The challenge is to capture lightning as close as possible and with iconic places of the city.
To achieve that, I must anticipate, move quickly to get where I want as soon as possible. The main thing is to observe the clouds, see where they´re heading, feel the cold wind, the rain and enter the storm so when it reaches the peak of intensity I´m already there...
I put myself at nature´s mercy, aware of the danger of facing the power of lightning which is what makes this so exciting.
As I learned more and more about lightning, I felt it was time to make a selfportrait under some anvil crawlers...
